Please amend plans to provide a smooth, hard, nonabsorbent surface, to a height of not less than 4 feet above the floor, and except for structural elements, the materials used in such walls shall be of a type that is not adversely affected by moisture. 2. Calculation of the required minimum ventilation for air handlers serving multiple zones requires the balancing data (supply CFM) for each zone and the calculations described in Sections 403.3.1.1.2.3.1 through 403.3.1.1.2.3.4, IMC 2018. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1.2.3, IMC 2018.
3. The area for determining ventilation requirements is the net occupiable area, not the areas shown on the mechanical floor plan. Reference: Sections 202 and 403.3.1.1.1.1, IMC 2018.
4. Revise the exhaust airflow rate for the cutting floor and shampoo area to provide 0.5 CFM of exhaust per square foot. (Note that a barber shop only requires 7.5 CFM of outside air per person and 0.06 CFM of outside air per square foot.) Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018.
02/21/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Specify that all proposed plumbing fixtures shall be listed by a third-party certification agency as complying with the relevant standards. Reference: Section 303.4, IPC 2018.
2. Verify that the metering faucet cycle for the lavatory will last for at least 10-seconds for accessibility. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
3. Shampoo sink faucets shall have hot water limited to a maximum temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit using a device conforming to ASSE 1070. Each faucet shall also have integral check valves to prevent cross-over flow between the hot and cold water supplies. Reference: Section 412.10, IPC 2018.
4. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018.
