STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS:

1. Provide Geotechnical Report for the proposed building per International Building Code 2018, Section 1803.1.
2. Provide Structural Calculations for the Foundations, Stair supports and Canopy supports of the proposed building per Section 1601.1 of International Building Code 2018.
3. Provide Wind Load Calculations for the Building per Section 1609 of International Building Code 2018.
4. Provide Seismic Calculations for the Building per Section 1613 of International Building Code 2018.
5. All Calculations shall be sealed and signed by Professional Engineer registered with State of Arizona per Section 107.1 of International Building Code 2018.
6. Structural steel, components and fasteners that are exposed are to be protected against corrosion in accordance with AISC 360 Section B.13 as indicated in IBC 2018 Section 2203.1.
7. Designer is to coordinate venting and drainage hole requirements for HSS tube members that are galvanized using the hot-dip galvanizing process. Provide for plugs as needed. AWS D-19.0 calls for welds on galvanized steel to be free of zinc. Field welds on galvanized parts requires the removal of the zinc coating in the area of weld. Provide zinc paint (approved by the galvanizer) and apply as required to the weld and steel area to provide protection.
1. Provide galvanized bolts on the framing connections that are exposed.

Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings.


BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS:

1. No approval is being provided for the interior buildout. Please note that there are multiple significant issues with the provided egress and code analysis plans; including but not limited to occupancy classification, occupant load factors, egress, required fire rated assemblies, door, etc. that will need to be addressed at TI.
2. Provide temporary egress lighting as necessary.
3. Provide a complete set of the pre-engineered metal building drawings from the manufacturer.
4. Provide a complete list of special inspections in accordance with Chapter 17 of the IBC and Tucson Policy.

ESH0.0 ELECTRICAL NOTES, SYMBOLS AND ABBREVIATIONS: No electrical issues
ESH.1 POWER PLAN - SHELL 1ST FLOOR:
Need to provide at a minimum a one-line/Riser with panel schedules of installed panels to show panel size and circuit breaker spaces for future tenant fit-out.
Need to provide short circuit calculations form Main Distribution and sub panels.
Need emergency lighting for egress to include stairways and exterior doorways/platforms.
Need to provide exit signage for all egress paths.
Need to provide some lighting for an empty shell ie stumble lighting around the perimeter at a minimum.
Need to provide service receptacles per NEC 210.63 and 64. Basically any installed significant mechanical equipment and at any electrical panel.
If this is beyond scope, ask City of Tucson for an electrical deferral or variance.
ESH.2 POWER PLAN - SHELL 2ND FLOOR: Same requirements as ESH.1.
