COMMENTS:
1. In order to be able to complete the Certificate of Occupancy document, Please complete your Code Analysis to include the Proposed Use, Occupancy Classification, Construction Type, Occupant Load Calculation, Calculation for the Minimum Plumbing Fixture Required (for water closets, Lavatories, Water Fountain & Mop Sink, locate and label these items on the floor plan).
2. The Accessible restroom and the Enlarged restroom drawing do not match. Please correct this.
3. Confirm water hammer arrestor is installed for the Washer/Dryer. Show the route of the Dryer exhaust duct on your plan. Show/label these on the floor plan.
4. Confirm the presence of water heater pan and the drain line as well as where it empties, show/label these on your floor plan.
5. RECEPTION, COUNTER IN THE BACKROOM: Provide drawings illustrating the following. Ensure that the facility is accessible complying to the ICC/ANSI A117.1 for both Employees and Customers. The tops of work surfaces 902.4: shall be 28 inches min and 34 inches max above the floor. Parallel approach 904.3.2: the public use side of the counter surface 36 inches in length minimum. Forward approach 904.3.3: the public use side of the counter surface 30 inches minimum in length. Knee clearance 306.3: between 9 inches and 27 inches above the floor. Maximum depth 306.3.2: extend 25 inches maximum under an element at 9 inches above the floor. Minimum depth 06.3.3: Where clear floor space complying with Section 305, the knee clearance shall be 11 inches minimum in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches minimum in depth at 27 inches above the floor.
6. THE MEANS OF EGRESS WILL BE ILLUMINATED TO A LEVEL OF NOT LESS THAN ONE FOOT-CANDLE AT THE WALKING SURFACE AT ALL TIMES THE BUILDING SPACE SERVED BY THE MEANS OF EGRESS IS OCCUPIED. IBC 1008.2.1 Locate/label the lighted exit sign, emergency light with back-up power as well as the fire extinguisher on your plan.
7. SIGNS: Provide drawing illustrating the required signs. Accessible signs shall comply with ICC A117.1 Section 703. Tactile signs shall contain both raised characters and braille. Where signs with both visual and raised characters are required, either one sign with both visual and raised characters, or two separate signs, one with visual, and one with raised characters, shall be provided.
8. This Door To Remain Unlocked When This Space Is Occupied. IBC 1010.1.9.4 Locate/Label this on your floor plan.

2. Provide a minimum exhaust flow rate of 50 CFM per water closet for continuous exhaust. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1 and Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018.
3. Provide information on the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fans to show that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018.
4. Revise the mechanical design as required to avoid using the corridor as a return air duct. Reference: Section 601.2, IMC 2018.

Provide a plumbing design and calculations performed by an Arizona registrant who has demonstrated proficiency through registration, education, technical knowledge, or experience to perform such work. Reference: Sections 107.1 and 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. Provide plumbing plans for the new work, including water isometrics and waste and vent isometrics. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
3. Show the plumbing fixtures and drainage fittings installed correctly and, in a manner, consistent with the Code and the manufacturer’s instructions. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2018.
4. Provide third-party listing and material standards for all plumbing fixtures being installed. Reference: Sections 303.4 and 402, IPC 2018.
5. Verify that the number of required plumbing fixtures for the suite are present. Reference: Section 2902.1, IBC 2018.
6. Provide a metering faucet for the new lavatory, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle (e.g., 0.5 GPM for 30 seconds). Verify that the faucet cycle will last for at least 10-seconds. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
7. Provide tempered water for the lavatories and public hand-washing sinks in restrooms using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 419.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018.
8. For the use of PEX tubing, provide a branch tube sizing chart showing the correct size of PEX tubing to be used as a substitute for the copper pipe shown on the drawings. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 604.3, IPC 2018.
9. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018 (i.e., 24” for ½” pipe).

1. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 3.1.2 or show the exterior light as full-cutoff and under a canopy or overhang, OLC 401.2.1 item 3.
2. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
3. Submit catalogue or specification sheets of the proposed light fixture illustrating the type of fixture they are whether full cut-off or unshielded.
