Provide a complete plan set. Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Refer to Drawing A-XC120 and Geotechnical Report page 4, Table 3.3.1 Seismic Parameters. There is a discrepancy in the numbers, investigate and make revisions as needed. 2. Refer to Drawing B-XC120 and Geotechnical Report page 4, Table 3.3.1 Seismic Parameters. There is a discrepancy in the numbers, investigate and make revisions as needed. 3. Refer to Drawing S601 and Geotechnical Report page 4, Seismic Design Parameters. The Geotechnical Report says Site Class C to be used. The Structural Notes on Drawing S601 notes Site Class D. Investigate and make changes as needed. 4. Submit documentation regarding implementation of Special Inspections and Testing program during construction to observe compliance with the Design Concepts and Specifications. 5. Structural steel, components and fasteners for the roof screen are to be protected against corrosion in accordance with AISC 360 Section B.13 as indicated in IBC 2018 Section 2203.1. 6. Designer is to coordinate venting and drainage hole requirements for HSS tube members that are galvanized using the hot-dip galvanizing process. Provide for plugs as needed. AWS D-19.0 calls for welds on galvanized steel to be free of zinc. Field welds on galvanized parts requires the removal of the zinc coating in the area of weld. Provide zinc paint (approved by the galvanizer) and apply as required to the weld and steel area to provide protection. 1. Provide galvanized bolts on the exposed steel framing connections. 2. The requirements in OSHA 1926.757 for the erection of open web steel joists are to be followed. Where steel joists are used with columns that are not framed in at least two directions with solid web structural steel members, a steel joist shall be field-bolted at the column to provide lateral stability to the column during erection. Where constructability does not allow a steel joist to be installed at the column the joists are to be stabilized on both sides of the column. 3. Provide a vertical stabilizer plate at columns for steel joist as required by OSHA 1926.757. 4. DEFERRED SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS Structural general notes are to include any components of the building that may be considered deferred submittals. IBC Section 107.3.4.1 requires deferred submittals to be approved by the building official. If items will be deferred the plans are to clearly note the following per IBC Section 107.3.4.1: * To be reviewed by design professional in responsible charge. * Design professional shall affix a notation that the deferred items are in general conformance with their design of the building. * They shall be submitted for review by the building official. * Shall not be installed until approved by building official. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. E005: No security shown. Not needed for electrical permit. E104: Could not locate Plan Note #4. E602: May need to upsize conductors for item 217 as it is probably a continuous load. PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied First Plumbing Review: 1). Add restroom fixture spacing measurements to plan page P201 or A214. -IPC 404.2, 405.3.1 2). Condensate waste on plan page P101 can't discharge to waste receptors connected to the grease system. -IPC 1003.2 3). #612 Handsink on plan page P202 detail #F11 can't discharge indirectly -IPC802.1 4). Steam & oven drains on plan page P202 need to comply with -IPC 702.5 if discharge is over 140 Deg. 5). P511 detail A13 pump discharge line needs a shut off valve on discharge side of check valve. -IPC 712.2, 1113.1.4 6). What is considered the secondary roof drainage system for the 2 canopy areas shown on plan page A130 & P104? -IPC 1108 7). Notate on P104 the total GPM or square footage the 3" canopy roof drains will be handling. -IPC 1106.2 8). Add notes that owner shall obtain an operational permit from TFD for flammable and combustible liquids. Ower shall also obtain a construction permit from TFD for Fuel Island and below grade tanks.
