GENERAL - UPDATES: For project updates, please submit sheets with all changes clearly marked in revision clouds. Please provide a written response to each comment; updates without a clear response to all comments may not be reviewed. If you have any questions regarding the comments, you may contact me directly. Updates may result in additional comments. 2. S201 - NEW OPENINGS IN CONCRETE WALL: New Level 2/Roof Partial Framing Plan Note 10 calls for new window openings in the existing exterior wall. Details 9 & 11/S701 indicate that the existing wall is a 8" concrete wall. Section cut 11/S701 is cut directly above one of the proposed openings, but the opening does not appear in the detail. Please provide information on how the existing wall is being reinforced at the new openings, keeping in mind that the proposed roof framing bears directly above the openings at multiple locations. 3. S702 - CONFLICTING INFORMATION: Please confirm the Top of Steel Beam elevations shown in Details 1 & 4/S702. Detail 3/S201 cut through the new canopy indicates that all new steel beams are flush at the bottom, while Details 1 & 4/S702 show both the HSS8x4 and HSS10x4 beams flush with the top of the steel deck. This would bring the bottom of the HSS10x4 beam 2" below the adjacent beams. Confirm this is acceptable and revise the details accordingly to eliminate this conflict.
