Fire rated doors in H.R. Area must have door closures in place. In areas with sprinkler coverage this requirement can be waived. why is creates a problem- This is a B-2 occupancy area. Its functionality as a human resources area would be compromised if all offices doors were closed during business hours. The American Disabilities ACT (ADA) would also require additional special equipment for staff with disabilities.
