Fire rated doors in H.R. Area must have door closures in place. In areas with sprinkler coverage this requirement can be waived. why is creates a problem- This is a B-2 occupancy area. Its functionality as a human resources area would be compromised if all offices doors were closed during business hours. The American Disabilities ACT (ADA) would also require additional special equipment for staff with disabilities. We propose to continue addressing Life Safety issues with quarterly fire drills and regular inspection of this office area by Safety personnel. APPROVED BY Chief D. Uthe 4/8/09. |
