| 08/07/2025 | ENGR Engineering Final | N/A | Not Ready | 8/7/25 Driveway/Apron not installed. Inclusive Home Design Ordinance calls for an Accessible route to the public way. I met contractor at site, and he asked me to put my points in the notes: The plan was approved by the city. On sheet A001 the plan shows a Standard detail 206 driveway. It also shows an accessible route just to the west of the driveway, to the door of the ADU. There are also Inclusive Home Design Notes on sheet A002. If the accessible route meets the doorway at grade it will comply. TSM 7-01.3.3.C states that within the pedestrian circulation path, an accessible route is also required in compliance with the cities adopted building code. 7–01.4.3.C defines the composition of the sidewalk, making up the pedestrian circulation path, of which the accessible route is under. There are also Inclusive Home Design Notes on sheet A002. If the accessible route meets the doorway at grade it will comply. Composition: 1. Portland cement concrete, 4” thick, with a smooth or broom finish; 2. Brick pavers set in a bed of cement; 3. Resin Pavement Mixture that complies or is equivalent to ASTM D 4123 Submitting a revision for review is an option. |
