Description:
Project is an interior expansion of an existing medical marijuana growing facility. Dispensary shall be off site. This tenant interior expansion will involve demising off a portion of an existing unused warehouse space. The remaining unused portion will be left unimproved and will be assessable through a keyed lock door that will have a sign stating that “THIS IS NOT AN EXIT.” The following portion of the narrative is to address particular items that required further clarifications during the initial tenant improvement: 1. Plant Irrigations System: The crop irrigation system is a self-circulating gray water system that is designed and installed an irrigation company. The gray water is recirculated from the plants, stored in a separate holding tank, filtered and then fed back into the irrigation system. This system in replenished using city water that connects to a reverse osmosis system that fills a primary holding tank. The city water line is protected by a back flow device and is not connected directly to the irrigation piping. 2. City of Tucson Use Permit T185SA00450, condition requires that an “odor mitigation plan be submitted. The mechanical design for the working area, which are those areas which are separate for the growing rooms, are designed to provide outside are into the space. This will be exhausted from the building through roof mounted exhaust vents. These vents will be equipped with charcoal filters to remove building odors. 3. The existing equipment room contains an 8’-0” diameter water storage tank that contains 3,000 gallons of water. Existing floor slab is 6” concrete and the building was designed as an industrial warehouse. The 6” thickness of the slab and its placement on natural grade is sufficient to handle the new load.
