11/03/2010 | ZONING - FINAL | DROBERTS | Approved | SITE WAS CHECKED DURING THE INITIAL INSPECTION AND APPEARED TO NOT BE COMPLETE ENOUGH FOR THE FINAL RELEASE OF THE C OF O. I MET WITH THE TENANT AND LOOKED AT THE INFORMATION THAT WAS PROVIDED BY THE ZONING SECTION DURING THE PLAN APPROVAL PROCESS. HE HAD A COPY OF THE AERIAL PICTURE FOR THIS SITE PLUS A SIGNED AFFIDAVID FROM THE OWNER STATING THAT THE SITE HAD NOT CHANGED THE SITE CONDITIONS SINCE THE 2005 AERIALS. THERE WAS NO STRIPING IN THE PARKING AREA, BUT THERE WERE PARKING BLOCKS FOR EACH OF THE LOCATIONS FOR THIS SITE. A PARTIAL WAS GIVEN AT THIS TIME UNTIL THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SITE COULD BE VERIFIED BY THE ZONING DEPARTMENT. I MET WITH DAVID RIVERA TO DISCUSS WHAT TYPE OF INSPECTION THIS WAS AND HOW IT WAS TO BE DONE. HE SHOWED ME THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ORDINANCE #10835 AND ADVISED ME ABOUT WHAT ITEMS TO LOOK FOR DURING THIS INSPECTION, AND ONLY THESE ITEMS UNLESS SOMETHING ELSE WAS A HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE. A RE-INSPECTION OF THIS SITE WAS PERFORMED AT THE END OF THE DAY AND APPROVED AT THAT TIME, THE CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN MET AND THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE ASKED JIM FEMLING AND DAVID RIVERA TO HAVE THIS AS A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION IN OUR NEXT WEEKLY MEETING SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A FULL UNDERSTANDING ABOUT WHAT IS TO BE INSPECTED SO THAT THEY ARE NOT DENIED FOR REASONS THAT DO NOT APPLY TO THE SITE. IT IS ALSO UNSURE AT THIS TIME WHO WILL BE THE INSPECTOR THAT WILL BE REVIEWING THESE IN THE FIELD, IT MAY BE ENGINEERING, BUILDING FINAL, OR THE ACTUAL ZONING REVIEWER THAT WILL MAKE THESE FIELD DECISIONS. |
