I facilitated the pre-construction meeting with the Herman reps and Tucson water project manager Clayton. Herman will install new 6 inch meter assembly and 2 inch bypass. They will replace chain-link fence and install a new shut off gate valve for the cemetery. project manager Clayton seeked approval with his supervisor to remove access gate on the cemetery side and to to make up the 1 foot difference between the existing meter assembly and the new on Tucson waterside. The new meter assembly is 1 foot longer. Herman will pothole to get the OD on the buried pipe. Their material will be delivered this Friday. They will begin work once the material is delivered. Will work Monday through Friday until completion. |

I performed shutdown for Herman. It was one reclaim gate valve. It rained all day. Herman unloaded pipe and meter assembly. They removed existing water meters and will install new meter assembly tomorrow. |

Herman removed all existing asbestos cement and plastic pipe. They installed a 12 foot lateral up to the meter assembly. They also ran a 20 foot stick of 6 inch ductile iron pipe and a new gate valve for the cemetery. The cemetery will now have their own valve to isolate instead of using Tucson Waters valves for shutdowns. |
