I met with MW Morrissey to discuss some of the issues that have been brought up by previous inspectors for this job. On the west side of the building, there is a ramp with handrail that has two different grades, and will verify if a landing is required between the two different grades. On the inside of the project is a stairway that leads up to a stage that is 19 feet long. and approximately five or six steps high that has handrail on both ends of the stairway but nowhere in between. Ron has called out that additional rails coming down a stairway are needed. There must be a rail that is no more than 44 inches away from the adjacent rail to ensure safety per the ADA Codes. I will contact Juan Garcia, the building official and verify this information and then we’ll get back to the contractor and let them know what they need. |
