5-26-26: clear out footings of loose debris, compact pad near interior footing, add reinforcement at hold-downs and extend reinforcement 2' at all corners, per IRC 506.3.3, a vapor retarder is required at all monolithic slabs & footings, 2 ground rods will be required rather than attaching copper to reinforcement, 1 1/2" clearance from DWV and forms. Note: an exception to the vapor barrier requires a stamped letter from an engineer. The letter would have to be submitted to the city for review and approval. |
