Tucson fire walk me through the scene. Fire was in the kitchen area underneath the griddle which was metal and was a grease fire. Fire was put out by a portable extinguisher and again underneath the griddle nothing on top. No damage seen to the wall cabinet or underneath or on top of the griddle. Was only grease that was burning and again put out by a portable extinguisher. Tucson fire was going to give them a notice to replace the portable fire extinguisher within 24 hours. Pima county health department was speaking to the owner about to clean up and disposing of food items. Southwest Gas was turning on gas and lighting pilot to the appliances inside the building. Again no structural damage was caused by fire. Ansul system is up and operational. 12/14/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Matt from SW/Gas called to find out the issues at this IHOP. I let him know the Ansul system never was deployed, the fire was underneath the griddle and never got hot enough before a portable extinguisher was used. The Ansul system was at full charge. Fire Inspector had an issue wiith the manuel pull on the wall that was taped off and wanted to see the Inspection Notes on the inspection in Aug of 2020, Fire Inspector gave them 24hrs to replace the portable Extiguisher used today and would also go over the report on the manual pull issue of it being tapted. Matt from SW gas was ok but I gave him Fire Inspectors info anyway and advised M Romero.
