Met on site with T.P.D. officer Cramer and inspector Morales and looked at the exterior of the property and the interior common areas. Was able to look at one room that was not occupied at this time with the manager on duty at the time. While waiting did find a hole in the front in the driveway that was dug out and more than 30" deep. Had cones and no caution tape or fencing at this time. Did meet with the manager and requested fencing around the opening to block off the hole and was going to be done today. Has metal expansion screening on the windows on the bottom units on several units on the windows and not able to exit in the event of an emergency. Those windows covered with the expansion metal was advised to have removed for exiting in the event of a fire for rapaid escape from the unit to the outside of the unit. Has lights added in the parking lot area with extension cords and the wiring is not protected and wrong gauge wiring. Found where the cover plates to junction boxes are lacking or are loose. Has conduit that has been added for lighting that is on the concrete curbs and the fittings are not rated for exterior use. AC wall units have been added and are lacking the cover places for the exterior portion of the units or have been damaged. They have palm trees that have fronds that are dried out and hanging and closer than 10' from the ground. They have trash and debris through out with some being broken masonry blocks that is piled up against a wall. The trash enclosure has been damaged and the wall is leaning on one side where it has been hit. The wall is not loose at this time. The sliders in the rooms will need to be checked for the rollers due to checked one room and the rollers are worn out and hard to open and close the windows. They have people that have been in the rooms 3 to 4 months. |
