09/09/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved VISITED SITE, MET WITH TPD OFFICERS WHO STATED THE TAN CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER HIT THE GAS INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE AND HIT THE REAR METAL DOOR N THE WEST SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE, BENDING THE DOOR AND KICKING THE HEAVY METAL FRAME TO THE INSIDE OF THE STORE, FRAME NOT COMPLETELY BENT AND MAY BE ABLE TO PUSH BACK INTO PLACE.
STORE MANAGER CONTACTED HIS SUPERVISOR WHO CONTACTED CIRCLE K MAINTANENCE PERSONEL WHO WERE IN ROUTE AT THE TIME OF MY ARRIVAL. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE MAIN PORTION OF THE STORE AND SALES PERSONEL WERE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE BUSINESS AFTER MY INSPECTION WAS COMPLETED.
WHEN CIRCLE K MAINTANENCE ARRIVED THEY STATED THAT HEY WOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE DOOR AT THE HINGES AND BEND THE DOOR FRAME BACK INTO PLACE BUT WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE DOOR AND HARDWARE. THEY STATED THE DOOR THEY HAVE IN STOCK, THEY WOULD JUST NEED TO PICK IT UP. A NOV WAS NOT REQUIRED TO REPLACE THE DOOR, SO NO NOV WAS ISSUED.
FOLLOW UP INSPECTION ON 9/08/19 FOUND THE DOOR HAD BEEN REPLACED. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
