Communication called that T.F.D. was on site with a building fire. Arrived and and the unit was ready to clear the site. The fire was in a kitchenette area where someone was cooking and had a fire and went to the sink to put the fire out. The fire flashed and set the sprinkler head off and flooded the unit. This unit was on the 3rd floor and went down to the first floor. The water did go into the hallway and some of the employees rooms. The water was approx. 3" in height. The toilet was removed by T.F.D. and the water was pushed into the drain to place the water in the drainage system. The occupants were removed to another room. The manager was on site and signed the paperwork. Once the extraction is completed, the management will lock the door. The company came to the site to have the sprinkler head replaced and put the fire system back on line. The fire panel was showing a trouble light and was due to the smoke detector was off at this time due to had water in it. The smoke detector will be replace in the morning. The manager will call the company once the smoke detector is replaced and the panel should reset. Will check the unit in the daylight time for other damage. RV. |
