09/14/2018 | COT - ENGR - Signage Final | hthrall | Partial Approval | Entered by HTHRALL1 - RE: sign permit review (3 wall signs) permit: T18OT00989 Site: 3838 N Campbell Av / Banner Cancer Center Zoning: PAD-11 Date: 9/14/18 Reviewer: H. Thrall 1) sign area allowance based on underlying zoning of PAD-11, ok for proposed wall signage. Signage facing interior to site on north and east elevations is within pedestrian courtyard and are interior site signs that do not count toward sign area, reviewed for mounting and PAD-11 compatibility. Sign A - illuminated and facing south elevation, requires engineering and counts toward sign area. Meets criteria outlined within the PAD document, per prior review of overall site signage proposal. Understood pending master sign program for freestanding signage will be submitted via separate permit. 2) please revise site plan submittal sheet to just call out the 3 wall signs for this submittal, to match the sign permit A,B and C locations and remove reference to all freestanding signs (note existing signs to remain that are wall signs on the site plan simply as existing, sign area is not an issue, plenty of street frontage along Campbell and Allen. For tracking purposes and compatibility with future master sign program.) 3) please note per Outdoor Lighting Code 501.3 that the maximum internal color temperature of internally illuminated signage is 4400k 4) ID shut off switch on diagram (NEC 600) for sign A 5) indicate on sheet for illuminated wall sign facing south elevation - that the "signage is to be mounted per specifications provided with accompanying engineering calculations and diagrams" 6) Engineering for wall sign approved. 7) send revised sheets to Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov |
