03/23/2018 | COT - ENGR - Signage Final | hthrall | Partial Approval | Entered by HTHRALL1 - RE: Sign permit review (new wall signage) For: Red Robin restaurant AT: 4605 S Landing Way Permit: T18OT00272 Reviewer: H. Thrall Date: 3/23/18 Codes: National Electric Code (NEC 600), International Building Code (IBC) Sign Standards - chapter 7A of the City of Tucson Unified Development Code. 1) enlarge all text on construction specs for scanning/legibility. 2) provide types of mounting screws/bolts - missing on several diagrams. (7A.4.1 & IBC.) 3) clearly ID the "shut off switch" location for each sign (i.e. is this the same as the remote power switch?) NEC 600. 4) Revise building frontage on application and elevation drawings to read 73.25' - both on I-19 and on Landing Way. Use sheet 5 of 8 of the Development Plan (DP16-0044) for the submittal for the lot line frontages along both streets. 5) Provide sign area coverage percentage calculation for west, north and south building elevations (not to exceed 40% for freeway proximity allowance). 6) Door signs are interior site signs given proximity. Breakdown sign area on each door on application (and note "D" type sign) and elevation view and note "interior site signs". These do not count toward sign area, given the resulting size when broken down versus permitting the entire door set size. |
