| 09/19/2017 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Was requested to meet the electricians on site by supervision. We gained access to the middle building. The feed for the residence is feed from the middle building. Inside the middle building there is a home made vehicle paint booth. There are numorous romex cables running along beams and post with exposed open splices. There are open walls with the romex expossed. There is wiring in side of the paint booth that is not protected from the vapors. There are non code compliant applications inside the paint booth. The interior panel is at a low height and does not have correct working clearences. The Romex wire terminate in this panel. This panel is in the hazardous location peramiters. The meter and panel at the front building are loosly attached to the structure. the wiring is double tapped at the main and only breaker. There is a broken junction box with expossed spliced under a bucket in the yard. Electricians and tenants stilll on site we did not re-lock gate. | |
| 09/14/2017 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Was asked to assist for electrical by supervisor. Found electrical hazards. Main service is missing the dead front cover. Conductors show signs of overheating and corrosion. Larger underground raceway conductors have been cut for some time now. Main breaker appears loose and conductors appear corroded. Aerial conductor to second building does not appear code compliant. Second riser mast not supported. Front building has an owners meter and the meter socket appears to be dislodging from the building. Panel does not appear to be the correct size for the load at the structure. Feed is an underground raceway, but cannot see where it comes from. Was not able to access this building. | |
| 09/14/2017 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | REVISITED THE SITE TO MEET WITH REALTOR ROBERT DELANEY SO THAT HE COULD GET INSIDE TO SHOW THE PROPERTY TO A POTENTIAL BUYER. UPON ARRIVAL I FOUND THE LOCK ON THE FRONT GATE HAD BEEN CUT AND A SHORT BOLT AND A LOCK NUT HAD REPLACED THE LOCK ON THE CHAIN. ONCE INSIDE THE PROPERTY AND AS I WAS WALKING UP TO THE EAST DOOR, I FOUND THAT LOCK HAD BEEN CUT AS WELL AND PINS PULLED FROM THE DOOR TO THE DOOR JAMB. DOOR WAS LEFT UNSECURED AND THE PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE DJ HAD BEEN REMOVED. DJ "JJ" ARIVED ON THE PROPERTY ALONG WITH A SECOND PERSON TO HELP WITH HIS EQUIPMENT. I DID INFORM HIM THAT HIS EQUIPMENT HAD BEEN REMOVED. JJ AND SECOND PERSON REMOVED THE REMAINING BEER, JELLO SHOTS, WATER, LIGHTS AND TABLES THAT BELONGED TO HIM. WHEN EVERYONE WAS COMPLETED AND LEFT THE SCENE I WENT AHEAD AND RESECURED THE EAST DOOR TO THE STRUCTURE WITH A LOCK AND CHAIN AND RESEURED THE FRONT GATE WITH A LOCK AND CHAIN. ROBERT DELANEY WAS ASKED TO ALSO PROVIDE A LOCK SO THAT HE COULD GET IN AND OUT WHEN HE NEEDED TO SHOW THE PROPERTY WITHOUT HAVING TO CONTACT THE CITY. |
