Met complainant at unit; unit was vacant as she was moving out and was no longer intending on occupying unit. The wood plank flooring throughout unit was in acceptable condition and was not dilapidated or sinking; the hole referred to in complaint is a crawl space access in the bedroom closet; this area did not have leaks or a sewer smell; small crack in kitchen ceiling along with small cracks in exterior foundation area appear as normal for a structure of this age (1940's) and does not appear to indicate a hazard. Photos taken. There was a newly installed gas heater furnace in living room (turned off) that did not have permits for installation; gas water heater at rear of exterior had venting that did not meet code and did not rise above roof line. NOV will be issued for furnace and heater only. |
