01/07/2016 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Received call from supervisor Martin Romero that T.F.D. on site with a apartment fire. Arrived and the units were clearing the site and the arson investigators were on site checking for the cause. The fire was in the exterior storage room on the rear porch on the second floor. The damage was to the drywall in the storage room and the light fixture including the door. The rear porch has been burned on the rafters, sheathing, beam and posts. The interior of the unit is OK but will need to be cleaned from the water and moving items to get around with the fire hoses. The manager and the maintenance were on site. The maintenance cut the damaged light fixture and place wire nuts and checked around for other damage and found none. The electrical was turned back on and everything was working. The tenants were able to stay in the unit but the management placed the tenants in a hotel until the unit is cleaned. The electrical was turned off at the breakers and turned back on for units: #22205, #22204, #22106, #22206, #22104 #22105, #22103 and once the light fixture removed from the fire damage, 22203 was turned on. The manager signed all the paper work and left the site. Will check in 45 days. RV. |
