THIS REVIEW IS FOR WALL, TRAFFIC DIRECTIONAL AND MENU BOARD SIGNAGE. GENERAL: 1) Increase font of all notations throughout the plan set to a minimum of 12 point for scanning records. (all construction notes, all site plan notes). 2) Submit a copy of the approved development plan sheet with resubmittal, 11 x 17 is fine (for verification of lot lines, access points, building dimensions) SIGN AREA: 3) Per SC 3-18, provide dimensions for ALL signs on elevation view plans (wall signs are not dimensioned). Check sign area on application and ensure both match. The sign area is the dimensions of the sign cabinet in a boxed manner. 4) Per SC 3-18 & 3-78, provide total sign area on the plans for each sign type that is proposed (wall and menu boards) and provide a cumulative total on the permit application broken down for each applicable street frontage. 5) Per 3-63.A, though not all dimensions and total sign area is listed for the largest menu board, staff assessed it is over sign area allowance - bottom "Culver's" stamp counts as part of the sign area. Revise. 6) Per 3-63.A, bottom "Culvers" stamp counts as part of sign area - revise. 7) Per SC 3-18/3-23, provide height to the tops of the wall signs on the plans for inspections, accurate records and to determine whether engineered plans or special inspections are required. 8) Clarify what the reference to 94.5" is that's shown above the parapets on each of the building elevations. 9) Dimension the building frontage as well as listing street frontages along property lines per the approved development plan. 10) Signage noted as "blade sign" in drive-thru must be mounted flat against building wall per definition of a wall sign. PLANNED AREA DEVELOPMENT COMPLIANCE: 11) Per Bridges PAD 15 zoning document section C.6 - Provide letter from the Bridges PAD Design Review Committee (DRC) verifying they have reviewed the proposed signage and approved the package. ELECTRICAL: SC 3-18, NEC 600 12 List the volts, amps and total circuits for the traffic directionals. 13 D the light source within both of the illuminated menu boards. 14 List the volts, amps and total circuits for each of the wall signs. STRUCTURAL 15 tructural has approved the menu board supports. 16 Though there are no signs on the drive thru order station cover and clearance bar, structural review for their footers has been completed. Footer inspections for both will be done under the sign permit for a review and inspection fee of $82.50 that will be added to this permit. 17 Note - a footer inspection of the holes for all signs are done prior to pouring concrete. 18 Depending upon responses provided, additional review comments may be forthcoming. |
