Received call from communication that T.P.D. on site with a car through building. Arrived and a car did hit the north end of the building of unit #2. The masonry wall was pushed approx. 5" into the structure. The damage was to a bedroom and near a bathroom. Did check if the tub was moved and found no indication that the tub was pushed. Saw no cracks in the drywall in the bathroom. The drywall in the bedroom has cracks where pushed in and around the area that was hit. The masonry wall is approx. 3' high and has wood framing above the masonry. The exterior wall has wood siding with metal siding over the wood. The wood frame wall was pushed in due to moved with the masonry wall and has electrical panels and meter bases for all the units. The metal riser for the electrical was hit and has no damage. The masonry wall has an electrical outlet and moved with the masonry wall and is working. At this time the tenant will be allowed to stay in the unit and not able to make contact with the owner. Did leave a message for the owner to call. The person who hit the building lives in unit #3. Will do N.O.V. at office. RV. |
