06/11/2013 | COT - ENGR - Signage Final | HTHRALL | Denied | Entered by HTHRALL1 - Sign review for Permit T13OT00578 4280 N 1st Ave, Vantage West Regarding Wall signs: 1) South building elevation is angled. Demonstrate the wall is 30 degrees or less per Sign Code definition of a wall sign. 2) Sheet 1, Per Sign Code section 3-32., the black backing behind the "Vantage West Credit Union" portion of Sign A is part of the sign area as it is not the same color nor material for the building wall materials. Revise total sign area for Sign A on drawing and revise sign permit application to match. 3) Sheet 1, remove reference of "frontage", the south building elevation does not have street frontage. Please keep reference to building wall dimension. 4) Sign A on sheet 1, regarding construction details, Per 3-18 of the Sign Code: Label all components on side diagram to show how is sign mounted (# and size and type of screws, bolts, etc) 5) On sheet 2, for Sign B - increase all diagram lettering to a minimum of 12 point for legibility and scanning of records (the font is so small the attachment details cannot be reviewed, further review comments may be forthcoming.) 6) On sheet 3, for Sign C - Per 3-18 of the Sign Code: label all components on mounting diagram (# and size and type of screws, bolts, etc.) 7) On sheet 4, remove reference of "frontage" - the north elevation does not have street frontage.
