| 11/28/2012 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Received a call from communication that T.F.D. on site with unit having water from a broken line. Arrived and T.F.D. has shut the main line to the complex off at the valves due to unable to enter the unit. The water was coming from the ceiling in the bathroom, bedroom and the closet. The tenants have place buckets where they could to catch the water as best they could. The tenants have moved as much as they could to not get wet into the living room. The living room was not getting any water at this time and had the tenants wait in that area and was going to into the upper unit. The management are all out of town for a cooperate meeting but T.F.D. has been in contact with the manager by phone. The tenants were asked if they had some where to stay and they said no. A rep. from another complex Jorge came to the property and was shown what the damage was. The rep. called the manager and was going to make arrangements for the tenants to stay in a hotel and given up $100.00 for the night. Told the tenants to get their items for the night and will need to leave the unit. They wanted to stay in the living room and they were told that the electrical was going to be removed incase the ceilings in the bedroom or the bathroom fall. The light in the closet has already fallen and hanging by the wiring. The management sign the N.O.V. and the Notice to Vacate. The management was waiting for the company to extract the unit and was hoping to be there with-in the hour. They were going to secure the property once they were done with the extracting and had them sign the indemnification to have the unit secured. Will check in 3 days. RV. |
