Site inspection, present at inspection, tenant, inspector H.Lopez & supervisor R. Saldate. Reviewed issues, (1) Mold in bathroom, informed tenant department does not identify nor address mold issues, tenant must have hygienist identify if it is actually mold & or mildew,(2) Base board heater in bedroom not working correctly, control dial can be forced passed stop. (3) Infestation of bed bugs & roaches, All sheets & covers removed from beds and all seams checked for bed bugs, none present, 2 dead roaches found under sink, no roach dropping present along sinks back splashes, walls in kitchen, however large amounts of grease on stove, burner trays, oven & broiler section. Informed tenant listed conditions are a strong attractant to roaches & should be eliminated as soon as possible. (3) Broken floor tiles, approximately 7 to 8 floors tiles were found broken & or curling up through out 3 bedroom apartment. (4) Possible fire concerns, entry door to bedroom to close to base board heater, Explained base board heaters do not put out enough heat to ignite doors.(5) working smoke detectors missing through out apartment. Stated smoke detector were not present when tenant took apt. Other issue present, hazardous electrical. tenant using unapproved appliance cord to reach electronic ignition stove original power cord.
