Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. When I arrived the apartments Sprinkler System was out of service due to a broken sprinkler head. I made contact with a property rep and ordered them to place a fire watch and to contact a fire protection company to bring their system back up on-line. I informed fire alarm of the down system. After several hours I was contacted by the property rep and was told that the system had been brought back up on line. I verified this with united fire.
