Below are some violations of the Tucson Fire Code ( 2006 International Fire Code with modifications) that shall be corrected in order to come into compliance. ___1.PROBLEM: Extension cord/ adapter found plugged in behind and under the grill and extending to the west to power small appliances. IFC 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove extension cord. ___2.PROBLEM: Exit signs over South and East dining room exits are not lit. IFC 1011.4 Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. REQUIRED CORRECTION: You will cause your exit signs to be illuminated. ___3.PROBLEM: Your emergency lights over your East dining room exit and East Kitchen exit are not working. IFC 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. REQUIRED CORRECTION: You will cause your emergency lighting to operate properly. ___4.PROBLEM: You have an accumulation of grease on the outer- houseing of your cheese melter and on the opening to it, built up from the deep-fat fryers below it. IFC 904.11.6.3 Cleaning. Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at intervals necessary to prevent the accumulation of grease. Cleanings shall be recorded, and records shall state the extent, time and date of cleaning. Such records shall be maintained on the premises. REQUIRED CORRECTION:You will have your cheese melter-cleaned and all grease removed.
