On 7-17-08, M26 received a call regarding clarification of small fire reporting to fire departments. A small fire started in lab equipment and was quickly suppressed, with no life threat and only minor damage to a wire. After contacting thier respective safety division the question was brought up regarding reporting to the local fire department. As reflected below, the 2006 Tucson Fire Code, which is adopted from the 2006 International Fire Code, states that ALL unwanted fires shall be reported to the Tucson Fire Dept., via the 911 system.
