Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Drip system timer box in disrepair with exposed wires. Wires protruding from ground as well. TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have qualified individual inspect the wires and timer box and follow their recommendations. ___2. PROBLEM: Electrical cord on ice machine outside shows a separation of the protective outer sheath from the wiring around the plug. TFC REFERENCE:605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have qualified individual repair ice machine cord. ___3. PROBLEM: Outlets in back office and in employee bathroom are missing cover plates. TFC REFERENCE: 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Place appropriate covers on outlet boxes. ___4. PROBLEM: Need weather cover on electrical outlet outside in front of store. TFC REFERENCE: 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Replace missing weather cover on outside electrical outlet. ___5. PROBLEM: Emergency lighting unit on ceiling above merchandise area does not work. TFC REFERENCE: 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have qualified individual repair emergency lighting unit. ___6. PROBLEM: Ceiling tiles missing in office and above cash register. TFC REFERENCE: 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of resisting the passage of smoke and fire. REQUIRED CORRECTION: REplace missing ceiling tiles.
