The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply, in the event of power supply failure, an emergency electrical system shall automatically illuminate… The emergency power system shall provide power for a duration of not less than 90 minutes and shall consist of storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702 of the International Building Code. ____ Fix all emergency lighting 1008.1.8 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. ____ REMOVE key locks on all egress doors, and replace with a thumb turn latch. 1008.1.9 Panic and fire exit hardware. Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed, it shall comply with the following: 1. The actuating portion of the releasing device shall extend at least one-half of door leaf width. 2. The maximum unlatching force shall not exceed 15 pounds (67 N). ____ Fix south east exit door 1008.1.8.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. ____ Remove thumb-turn lock from sout east exit, even if inoperable 1011.4 Internally illuminated exit signs. Internally illuminated exit signs shall be listed and labeled and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and Section 2702 of the International Building Code. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. ____ Fix all Exit signs according to code Additionally: Keep all means of egrees clear of debris, and maintain all proper egress width.
