Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Emergency lighting at front exit not functioning. TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. AND: 1011.2 Illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have all emergency lighting checked and repaired where necessary. ___2. PROBLEM: Sprinkler head missing escutcheon plate in back office and in restroom. TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have missing escutcheon plates replaced on sprinkler heads. ___3. PROBLEM: Electrical panels blocked in back office. TFC REFERENCE: 605.3Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. Where the electrical service equipment is wider than 30 inches (762 mm), the working space shall not be less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any materials shall be located within the designated working space. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Provide proper clearance around electrical panels. ___4.PROBLEM: Sprinkler system riser room needs a durable sign designating it as such. TFC REFERENCE: 510.1 Identification. Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner. Rooms containing controls for air-conditioning systems, sprinkler risers and valves, or other fire detection, suppression or control elements shall be identified for the use of the fire department. Approved signs required to identify fire protection equipment and equipment location, shall be constructed of durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible.
