The path of egress travel along a means of egress shall not be interrupted by any building element other than a means of egress component as specified in this chapter. Obstructions shall not be placed in the required width of a means of egress except projections permitted by this chapter. The required capacity of a means of egress system shall not be diminished along the path of egress travel. _______Clear exit area, and maintain it this way. |

| 12/10/2007 | VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS | Violation | Locks on exits: IFC2006 [TFC with modifications] / 1008.1.8.3 Locks and latches. 2.3. The use of the key-operated locking device is revokable by the fire code official for due cause. Remove keyed locks from west bank of 4 doors. Replace padlock on security gate with a thumb turn bolt lock, or panic hardware. You may be re-inspected for locked doors during business hours at anytime. Do not allow this to happen again. Re-inspection date for items above scheduled on or after Dec. 31, 2007.
