12/17/2007 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Violation | Emergency fire call in a mobile home complex - space # 13 .... Mrs. Reva Parrett is the owner of the unit - 358-1975 cell phone .... Management of the complex is Mr. Troy Staats - 889-6348 office phone or 471-0490 cell phone .... office is located on the property. Fire damage to the mobile home was extensive - mostly concentrated in the middle section of the unit with damage to the framing, windows, doors, kitchen cabinets, possibly to the floors ( from fire or water ), to the outside attached carport awning, a total loss to the furnance, & smoke damage to the kitchen & middle bathroom .... photo's taken of all damage. Swamp cooler may need to be checked for possible damage. The electrical was turned off at the meter by Mr. Staats, the gas was turned off by Southwest Gas ( pinned ), & the water was turned off by the Fire department ( not pinned - for use if needed ). Due to the extensive damage to the mobile home & all utilities turned off, the unit was deemed unfit to be occuppied .... Mrs. Parrett was informed of this. She was given permission by the neigbor - Mr. & Mrs. Dustan Ball, phone 578-3147 - to stay at their mobile home next door space # 14. Mrs. Parrett has limited funds & didn't have insurance coverage on the mobile home to secure the property due to the extensive damage to the unit & the accumulation of trash & fire debris .... she gave the City permission to secure the property & she was informed she will be liable for the service charge. She was also informed she will be given a key to enter the property during day light hours only to clean or remove any personal items - any person found during the evening hours may be incarcerated by the police. I contacted my supervisor Mrs.Lucy Valdez & informed her of the situation & she approved securing the property by Canyon Fence Co. - phone 623-7894 .... property was secured & mobile home posted with DO NOT ENTER - UNSAFE TO OCCUPY & took photo's. All emergency forms & documentation filled .... to be positive Mrs.Parrett understood the damages & corrective action(s), she was allowed the opportunity to read & sign the notice of violation for the fire damage & accumulation of trash on the property. She stated that due to her financial status & not having insurance coverage, she will more than likely pursue demolition. SEE SIRE TO VIEW EMER. CALLOUT CHECKIST, AND DAMAGE REPORT. |
