10/29/2006 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved RECEIVED A CALL FROM COMMUNICATION THAT T.F.D. ON SITE WITH CAR HITING A STAIRWELL. ARRIVED AND THE POST SUPPORTING THE OUTSIDE PORTION OF LANDING HAS BEEN HIT AND DAMAGED AND NOT ABLE TO SUPPORT LANDING. A I-BEAM SUPPORT ON INTERIOR OF LANDING WAS HIT, THAT SUPPORTS DECK TO 2ND FLOOR. FOOTING HAS BEEN PULLED OUT OF GROUND. THERE IS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO STEEL FRAME ON STAIR WELL OR UPPER DECK. FOUND SOME BOARDS MISSING IN AREAS WHERE BROKEN OR HAS ROTTED DUE TO WEATHER. MET WITH MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE MAN IN ROUTE TO ADD SUPPORT TO LANDING. HAS NO DAMAGE TO MAIN BUILDING. HAD 4X4 ADDED TO OUTSIDE PORTION OF LANDING WITH REMOVING STEEL COLUMN THAN HAVE WOOD POST SCREWED AT TOP. COLUMN WILL HAVE TO BE REBUILT TO REPLACE WITH NEW. I-BEAM POST NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IF GOING TO BE REMAINED. FOOTING NEEDS TO BE RESECURED. BOARDS WILL BE REPLACED ON DECK TOMORROW WHICH 2X6 TREATED WERE ON SITE ALREADY. ONCE MANAGER SIGNED N.O.V. AND DAMAGE REPORT AND 4X4 SECURED, PULLED CAUTION TAPE OFF AND LEFT SITE. WILL CHECK TOMORROW ON DECK. 10/29/06. RV.
