08/08/2019 ENGR Engineering Final DROBERTS Continued Entered by DMERANZ1 - LOOKED AT THE TRASH ENCLOSURE FOOTER AND THE INSTALLATION OF THE DRAINAGE PIPES. THE CREW HAS NOT REMOVED THE EXISTING CATC BASIN AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLANS. THIS WORK IS NOT BEING ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME IN THE AREA OF THE EXSTNG CATC BASIN. THE PIPE IS APPROVED FOR BACK PER THE MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS, THE USE OF ANY OTHER TYPE OF MATERIALS WILL REQUIRE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT. I QUESTIONED THE CONTRACTOR ABOUT THE BACKFILL REQUIREMENT OVER THE PIPE AT 11:30, HE DID NOT HAVE ONE. I ASKED THAT HE PROVIDE US THE MANUFACTURE CUT SHEET FOR THIS PRODUCT, HE COULDN’T PROVIDE ONE. I CONTACTED JOHN VANWINKLE IN THE OFFICE AND ASKED IF HE COULD GIVE ME A DETERMINATION OF THE BACKFILL REQUIREMENTS. HE CONTACTED ROBERT SHERRY AND ADVISED ME THAT THEY THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE AT LEAST 6 INCHES OVER THE TOP OF THE PIPE. THE CONTRACTOR STOPPED HIS OPERATION BEFORE THIS INFORMATION CAME BACK AT 11:50 AM, SO I WAS NOT ABLE TO ADVISE HIM OF THE INFORMATION. I CONTACTED MIKE WILHITE AFTER 12:30 OF TH BACKFILL INFORMATION, HE WILL RELAY IT TO HIS SUBCONTRACTOR.
