A fire sprinkler burst in the bedroom near the electrical panel of Unit 1633. Water was off by Fire Department and electrical was off to entire building upon arrival.
Unit 1633 - Floor is covered in standing water, carpet is soggy, ceiling and walls covered in water. Peeling paint and damaged drywall in the bedroom. There is standing water in the bedroom near electrical outlets. Electrical outlets and switches are wet in this bedroom. There is water in the breaker panel and breakers are wet. Power was cut at the meter by TEP and unit was red tagged Unsafe to Occupy.
Action Required: Commercial Addition/Alteration Permit required for repairs to unit and electrical. A licensed electrician shall review the electrical system and make repairs under the aforementioned permit.
Unit 1623 - Unit directly below 1633. Water entering the unit from the ceiling. Water is pooling on the floor. Peeling paint on drywall directly below the fire sprinkler from 1633. Tenant reports water coming through light switch in bathroom off this bedroom. There is water in the breaker panel and breakers are wet. Power was cut at the meter by TEP and unit was red tagged Unsafe to Occupy.
Action Required: A licensed electrician shall review the electrical system of the entire unit. Any required repairs shall be done under a Commercial Addition/Alteration Permit, if deemed no repairs necessary in a report by the licensed electrician, a reconnect permit will be required.
Unit 1613 – Unit directly below 1623. Standing water in the unit. Water near switches and outlets in the bedroom under the sprinkler head burst, same as above unit.
Action Required: A licensed electrician shall review the electrical system of the entire unit. Any required repairs shall be done under a Commercial Addition/Alteration Permit, if deemed no repairs necessary in a report by the licensed electrician, a reconnect permit will be required.
