1101 am - Called out to site for a vehicle impact to a commercial building. Upon arrival on scene, TPD and TFD had already left scene. The vehicle drove through the exterior wrought iron perimeter fence and drove into the exterior wall of the covered porch of Unit 1106. The wall appears to be wood frame construction with 2 X 6 structural members. There is damage to the stucco and presumably the structural members in this area. There is no signs of sagging or cracking at the ceiling line. The wall is not an exterior wall to the unit and only is a wall for the porch. There is no utilities along this area of the wall. The unit itself is not impacted and will not be condemned. Repairs are required by a licensed contactor with an issued permit within 60 days. -VM |
