PAGE 1 OF 2 DUE TO ENERGOV CHARACTER LIMIT: Called out to scene by TPD to assess structure if it may be occupied due to concern for egress and livability. Arrived on scene at 1050 PM and spoke with tenant on site who provided permission to search the residence. There is a front porch that appears enclosed, on the west side is a door to a bedroom that is blocked on the porch by trash and debris. Front door opens to a living area that is divided int o a bedroom with poles and curtains. Appears is being occupied as a bedroom. Area opens into a kitchen. Kitchen has multiple power strips daisy chained powering kitchen appliances. Kitchen opens into master bedroom that has an exterior door on south side, which opens into a completely fenced off area that has been turned into a dog run. The other exterior door that opens to the aforementioned blocked door on the front porch is also blocked on the inside by debris and miscellaneous items. Past the kitchen is a bathroom and storage/water heater closet area. In this room I found an electrical panel that is missing the dead front and has exposed wires. I tested the wires and they are live where if a person came into contact with them they would become electrified and electrocuted. Bedroom at SW corner has an exterior door that is blocked and bedroom has trash and debris inside. Bedroom at NW corner is full of trash and debris, has door to exterior porch appears enclosed. Rear porch enclosure has a light fixture hanging by wires and room is very cluttered with a lack of egress in event of emergency. Light on rear porch detached from building and hanging by live wires. Tenant on site states is renting out space to additional persons and has a total of 5 unrelated persons which constitutes an illegal group home. Home was condemned due to lack of egress and due to hazardous electrical. CONTINUED TO PAGE 2 |
