MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT THE OCCUPANT HAS CONTACTED THE ONE OF THE NEWS STATIONS WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN OUT CONCERNING WORK INSIDE OF THE UNIT THAT WAS NOT BEING DONE AND NOW SHE IS BEING EVICTED. MANAGER STATED THAT THE OCCUPANT WAS 2 1/2 MONTHS BEHING ON RENT. WOULD NOT ALLOW PEST CONTROL INSIDE THE UNIT AND NOT ALLOWING MAINTANENCE TO GO INSIDE TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS. OCCUPANT IS NOT TAKING MANAGEMENT TO COURT. I THEN VISITED THE SITE, OCCUPANT ALLOWED ENTRY I FOUND, ALL BEDROOMS HAD CLOTHES ON THE BEDS, ON THE FLOOR AND IN THE CLOSETS. FANS WERE CAKED WITH DUST AS WERE THE WALLS. I DID FIND ROACHES ALL OVER THE BEDS AND BEDROOMS, IN THE BATHROOMS AND CABINETS, IN THE KITCHEN AND KITCHEN CABINETS, AND IN THE STOVE, MICROWAVE AND ON THE COUNTER TOPS. DISHES FILLED THE SINK. THERE WERE LARGE CUTS IN THE LINOLEUM FLOORING, DUCTS AND RETURN AIR WERE FILTHY AND RUSTED. ELECTRICAL FIXTURES WERE NOT COMPLETED. BATHROOM SINKS AND SHOWER STALL PARTIALLY DAMAGED. I RETURNED AND SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER AND INFORMED HER OF MY FINDINGS. TOLD HER THAT MOST OF THE DAMAGE WAS DUE TO OCCUPANT NOT KEEPING UP WITH CLEANING, THAT I WOULD BE ISSUING A NOV BUT THAT WHEN EVICTED THE COULD ENTER THE UNIT TO BEGIN REPAIRS. |
