06/28/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with an apartment fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and checking for hot spots. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was on the northeast side of the unit in the middle of the 2-bedrooms in the closet area on the second floor. The fire was near the bottom plate burning some of the wood studs, at the roof area under a wood frame cricket on the roof and also has some burning in the middle of the wall in-between the 2-burned areas. The drywall was pulled down on the ceilings to check for fire in the roof area, the walls to check for fire in the walls going ro the roof. The electrical was removed at the meter due to the fire damage. The fire damage was on the 2nd floor and has water dripping from the ceilings on the 1st floor from the water fighting the fire. The unit will be vacated at this time due to the fire damage and lacking the electrical. Redcross has been called and the owner is also working on placement for the tenants. RV.
09/16/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Met with the owner on the needed repairs due to the fire damage. Went over on getting the electrical back on. Did go over that a drawing needs to be done and showing the areas and repairs that are going to be done to make the correction to leave rent ready. The owner will try and find a contractor and someone to make the needed drawings to get the permits. The case will remain closed. RV.
