11/02/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that a Pepsi truck has hit the building. T.P.D. was on site and called the damage in. Arrived and all the units have left the site. Did find where the building was hit. The business was closed at this time at 7:30 PM. The roof portion was loose and was knocked down to the ground due to was falling at the time of the inspection. The damage portion was an added section for decoration of the existing roof. The existing roof was not damage and did not go on the roof to check that damage. The main structure is OK and the business will be able to remain opened. Not able to locate the owner of the property or the owner of the business and posted the N.O.V. on the front door. Will in the morning to check on locating the owner of the property. RV.
11/03/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The owner of the business called and was aware of the accident to the building. A Pepsi truck hit the building around 1:00 pm and no one showed up and the truck left the site at the owner of the business. T.P.D. showed around 7:00 pm and called Code Enforcement to the site. The units did leave the site and was able to find the damage. The owner of the business is stating that Pepsi will be paying for the damage and did go over that a permit will be needed to make the repairs of the roof. At this time the case will be closed due to the insurance will be involved or the company from Pepsi on getting the work done. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
