09/10/2020 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.
09/10/2020 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-13(b) ACCUMULATION OF REFUSE PROHIBITED. Each owner, lessee, tenant, resident or occupant shall maintain a property so it is free of accumulated refuse and debris. Accumulated refuse and debris means contained or uncontained refuse and debris that is present on the property in a manner not authorized by the Tucson Code. Material recycling facilities meeting the requirements of section 15-24.7 are exempt from this prohibition.

09/09/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Did find some tree cuttings in the alley by the wood fence. Did talk to the owner and he has no trees and some has dumped the tree cuttings in the alley. He will get rid of the tree cuttings. The owner has a structure being built in the rear of the property against the wood fence by the alley and has no permits for the structure. The owner stated that he called and was told no permits required if under 200 s.f. He has the structure at 8' x 25' but against the wood fence which is the property line and has no setback at this time. Did go over that he would need to call to check if this would be allowed but the owner has other work done with out permits with a carport on the side of the house and the front porches. Will do the N.O.V. RV.
10/09/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The porches in the front of the house have been removed. The carport has been removed and where the ledger was placed has a void where removed and that will need to be filled to match the exterior coating of the house. The owner is getting the approval on the wood frame storage room and be working on the D.D.O. at this time. Will check in 60 days. RV.
