05/14/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Had a fire in unit #250 and the electrical was turned off at the main breakers. The unit did have some smoke in the unit due to on the same side of the fire. The unit was checked once the power was turned back on all is working at this time. The carpet was soaked with the water from the fire and the tenants will not be able to remain in the unit. The water may be entering through the walls on the floor due to the unit next door has water holding on the floor. The kitchen has water on the table and the counter and the bathroom has water on the floor. The tenants have somewhere to stay until the unit is checked once the carpet is cleaned. The manager was served the N.O.V. to Vacate the unit and the locks were changed. The management secured the unit and was posted Do Not Enter on the front door area. RV.
05/15/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The unit is vacant and secured and will be getting someone to have the unit extracted from the water on the carpet today. The manager will be checking if the tenants want another unit or wait a few days. The manager will check if they are going to continue to stay with a relative until they can move back in. There is no fire damage and once the carpet is dry they can move back into the unit. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
