TODAYS INSPECTION FOUND A BRANCH CIRCUIT FROM UNIT 1 MAIN DISCONNECT WHICH LEADS TO A JUNCTION BOX AND THEN TO BRANCHES OFF TO UNIT 2 MAIN DISCONNECT AND DOWNSTREAM EQUIPMENT.THE OVERCURRENT PROTECTION EXCEEDS THE AMPACITY OF THE CONDUCTORS BOTH SERVICES ARE SHARE LIVE CONDUCTORS AND PREVIOUS TAMPERING IDENTIFIED BY TEP ARE HAZARDS. THE POWER WAS ORDER TO BE DISCONNECTED AND THE UNIT WAS CONDEMNED UNFIT TO OCCUPY. PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR REPAIRS. DAY TIME ACCESS ONLY FOR REMOVAL OF PERSONNEL ITEMS. OWNER WAS ADVISED IF THIS ORDER IS VIOLATED THEN BOARDING THE ENTIRE BUILDING WILL BE ORDERED. |
07/22/2019 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | BERMUDEZ | Approved | CALLED OUT FOR BREACH OF CONDEMNED UNITS. FOUND 2 UNIDENTIFIED MEN IN UNIT 2, WHO CLAIM TO BE REPAIRING ISSUES INSIDE THE UNIT. ALSO FOUND WAS NEW ROMEX WIRED INTO THE SERVICE PANEL ONCE AGAIN. INSPECTOR CONTACTED OWNER WHO SAID SHE DID NOT KNOW OF ANY 2 MEN THAT WERE TO BE WORKING INSIDE THE UNIT AND WAS NOT AWARE OF WHAT THEY WERE DOING TO THE SERVICE PANEL, OWNER ASKED FOR INSPECTOR TO CALL TPD. INSPECTOR NOTIFIED MEN, TPD WERE BEING CALLED PER OWNER. THE MEN PACKED THEIR BELONGINGS LOADED THEIR DOG INTO THEIR MOBILE RV AND DROVE AWAY. GEORGIA THE TENANT TO UNIT 2 ARIVED ON SEEN AND CLAIMED TO BE CHANGING OUT LOCKS TO THE UNIT. INSPECTOR DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY AS THEY WERE ABLE TO SECURE THE DOORS AT ORIGINAL CONDEMNMENT. TPD ARRIVED ON SITE, GEORGIA WAS ARRESTED FOR TRESSPASSING. INSPECTOR EXPLAINED SHE WAS TOLD SHE WAS ONLY ALLOWED TO GO INTO THE UNIT TO PICK UP BELONGINGS NOT TO HANG AROUND OR OCCUPY THE UNIT. TEP WAS CALLED BY INSPECTOR BERMUDEZ WITH PRIOR AUTHORITY FROM SUPER MROMERO, TO CUT THE POWER AT THE POLE. INSPECTOR RESECURED PROPERTY WITH OWNERS PERMISSION TO DO SO AS SHE WAS ABLE TO DO IT HERSELF. INSPECTOR HAD CITY CONTRACTOR SECURE UNIT. WILL CLOSE CASE AT THIS TIME. |
