04/02/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the fire is still active and has 2-ladder trucks pouring water. The roof has collapsed and the walls are masonry and at this time still intack. The building is connected to the building next door but has a fire wall of masonry and the fire did not cross. The fire went into the alley and burned a homeless camp and all the vegetation. The utility pole was burned in the fire and the electrical was removed down line. The electrical has been turned off to other buildings and will be worked on during the day light hours. Not able to find the owner of the business and called Arcaiden Industires to have the building secured. Called Biff Baker Fence to have the holes in the chain link fencing covered. The interior of the building has vehicles and motorcycles inside with some burned and crushed. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the plywood in front on the overhead door opening and the front window. Will do N.O.V. in the morning. RV.
04/11/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The building is vacant and secured. Have been getting calls for the contractors to check the amount of damage to give bids to make the repairs or the demo of the building. The owner has not been into the building and the contractor have check on entering the building with the owner. All the contractors have been advised that the owner was not allowed into the building unless with a contractor or someone that has knowledge of the building contraction back ground. The back wall has cracks and has loose areas where able to fall due to not stable at this time. At this time the case will be closed due the owner will be working with the insurance claim. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
