Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

All buildings and structures are to be maintained so as not to pose a threat to the health and safety of any person or persons. The condition of a building or structure that meets any or all of the following is a public nuisance, is a violation of this chapter, and subjects the building or structure to abatement as provided in Article VI of this chapter, including demolition as provided in section 16-65: (3) The building, structure or any portion thereof has been damaged by fire, earthquake, wind, flood or any other cause, to such an extent that the structural strength or stability thereof is materially less than it was before the damage and is less than the minimum requirements of the building code for new buildings of similar structure, purpose or location.

THE IMPACT ON THE RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE WALL CAUSED A HOLE APPROX. 3'X4' NEAR THE SOUTH WEST CORNER OF THE WALL AND CAUSING CRACKING AND HEAVY SEPERATION THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHWEST PORTION OF THE STRUCTURE. . IMPACT WITH THE RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE WAS ALONG APPROX HALF OF THE SOUTHERN WALL. THE MATERIAL REMAINS UP AGAINST THE RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE. STUCCO DAMAGE ON THE EXTERIOR FINISH. ONE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT AFFECTED. CIRCUIT WAS ISOLATED AND SECURED. IT SHALL REMAIN OFF UNTIL REPAIRS CAN BE MADE. A STRUCTUAL ENGINEER SHALL EVALUATE THE DAMAGE AND STRUCTUAL INTEGRITY OF THE WALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECUREMENT AND REPAIR, UNDER PERMIT CONCORD GENERAL CONTRACTOR ON SITE HAS SECURED THE DEMO AREA UNTIL THE ENGINEER CAN EVALUATE. CONTRACTOR WORKING WITH THE TENANT AND OWNER FOR ACCESS FOR SECUREMENT AND REPAIRS
