12/15/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and all the units still on site checking for hot spots and doing the overhaul. The fire investigator was on site and the fire was in the kitchen area. The fire was near the stove and burned the cabinets and some of the drywall. The range hood a total lost. The lighting in the ceiling area that is recess has no lense and smoked. The house has smoke damage and 2-windows were broken during the fire. One of the tenants was hurt with a cut on his arm and was transported to the hospital. The other tenant was on site and was able to sign the paperwork before going to the hospital. The neighbors help and had the windows secured. The tenant has made contact with the property manager and they will call the owner to let the owner be aware of the fire. The tenant did lock the house before leaving to the hospital. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window. Took pictures and left the site. RV.
12/17/2018 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Talk to the property manager and the owner is aware of the fire and has the insurance already on site and has a contractor ready to make the needed repairs as soon as they get the OK to start the work. The property is vacant and secured. The tenants are staying with family at this time. At this time the case will be closed due to working with the insurance and did go over the permits required with the property manager. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
