07/11/2018 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-11(c) ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. (1) All dwellings and dwelling units shall be provided with electrical service. Electrical facilities connected to or in any building or structure are to be maintained hazard-free and in a state of good repair. The electrical system shall be free from such hazards as bare wiring; overloaded circuits or services; equipment not properly grounded; over-fused circuits; misuse of wiring, including the use of extension cords in lieu of permanent wiring; non-approved wiring; and wiring exposed to moisture or extreme heat. Broken, loose, frayed, inoperable, defective or missing portions of the electrical service, lines, switches, outlets, fixtures and fixture coverings shall be repaired or replaced. Every dwelling or dwelling unit shall have an adequate potable water supply. Found a water heater leaking on the bottom, a new gas furnace, shower valves leaking, toilet handle loose and not flushing properly, bedroom closet doors off track, smoke detectors not working or missing, exhaust fan has been removed and lacking the grill to cover the opening, GFCI lacking in the kitchen area, pocket door in living room off track, rats, roaches, and bed bugs. Has no management on site and was sent to the apartment complex next door. Did talk to the manager and they have taken over the building next door and this building. They have been on the property for a month. Will do N.O.V. RV.
08/27/2018 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Met with the manager and the permit has not been purchased. The water heater has not been installed completely. The manager will call when all is ready due to want to rent the unit out. Will check in 10 days. RV.
